In this article we explain step by step how to change the WiFi key on the Cisco DDR2201 router. This equipment is used by some Internet service providers for their good performance. Making the WiFi settings on this router is very easy. You just need to follow the steps that we explain below.
First enter your default gateway, if you do not know, you can find out which is your default gateway. In my case it is 10.0.0.1 – Then from the browser you should enter http://10.0.0.1/ and press ENTER.
Then a page will appear asking for a username and password to be able to enter the router. The username and password in both fields is admin.
Changing the name of the WiFi network on the Cisco DDR2201 router
After you enter the router click on “HOME NETWORK“. When you do that click on the submenu that appears below clicking on “Wireless“. Then click “Basic“.
When you do it you will see the part where you can activate or deactivate the WiFi that corresponds to “Enable Wireless“. Further down where it says “SSID” is where you can edit the name of the wireless network. You can erase the one you have and put the one you want.
When you finish configuring the name of the WiFi network then go where it says “Security” and there you will have the option to change the key or put one in case you do not have.
What you have to do in this part is first where it says “Network Authentication” put WPA Personal and where it says “WPA Pre-Shared Key” is where you are going to put the key you want your WiFi to have.
When you make the required changes click on “Save / Apply” to make the changes.
