How to disable programs that start with Windows

Sometimes we encounter the problem that when we start Windows in the Tare Bar right below many programs are running and that can be annoying, for that reason in this article I will explain step by step how to disable programs that start with Windows. This tutorial works with Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

The steps are very simple, you just have to open the task manager, you can easily open it by right-clicking on the taskbar and then clicking where it says “Task Manager“:

After that the task manager will open, it has several tabs, go to the one that says “Start” and there you will see all the programs that start with Windows:

As you can see in the image above, there will appear all the programs that you have to start with your Windows, those that you want to disable simply give you right click and then click on disable, those that say “Disabled” in the column “State “Means they will no longer run when Windows starts.

Note: Be very careful with disabling the programs that may be necessary for your systems, such as Antivirus and video and sound drivers.

If you want to delete some of those programs that appear there you simply have to go to Control Panel and there you will see the list of programs that you have installed on your computer.

If the program you want to remove does not appear in Control Panel what you have to do is in the list of programs that appear that start with Windows in the Task Manager right click and then “Open File Location” will open a folder with all the files of the program that you want to delete, delete them all and go. If it does not allow you to delete them all or some then you have to first disable the program from those that start with Windows and then restart the computer.
