This is the year that comes to our continent the Volkswagen Passat GTE , starting with Germany. The German manufacturer continues its strategy to put on the market the largest number of plug-in electric cars, and in that sense, the sedan is not just another step. We can collect about its launch in the autumn , which will occur later this year.
For starters, its price, to be located in the 44,250 euros (excluding grants) in Germany, and where appropriate, 45,250 euros for the Variant version. You remember that your consumption figure assigned to Volkswagen Passat GTE under the NEDC test cycle would move around 2 l / 100 km. Well, in a statement a few days ago, the manufacturer ensures that final consumption is 1.6 l / 100 km .
It seems that Volkswagen developers were even pessimistic when determining indirect consumption and efficiency of the model (perhaps the NEDC cycle has also helped), but the truth is that is good news. The other specifications are as we have in the day, 50 km of autonomy in its purely electric mode. The emission figure remains at about 37 grams of CO 2 per kilometer.
The plug-in hybrid Passat will feature the new Head-up display of the GTE Volkswagen series, which could translate into a more mundane language as subtly transparent plate that emerges on the instrument panel and provides useful information on the line of sight our driving.
Finally, the manufacturer has unveiled new images of the model in action through very own landscapes of alternative mobility (fortunately this time we see no e-flashing blue) you can see in the photo gallery.
