The geography of wealth explains some of the history of humanity: namely, that sector of every society that scales up the richest 1% based or governmental power to accumulate and use it to their advantage or across multiple and very beneficial investments. We have done a world map interactive of wealth: these are the richest men in every country in the world and the source of their wealth.

A few notes: not all countries, mainly due to lack of data. Some of those included are based on assumptions such as Bosnia, Bulgaria or Paraguay, because not all fortunes are public. Many of them remain in the shadows, and magazines like Forbes, annually dedicated to analyzing who are the richest people in the world.  Other itself are reliable, but may vary, as they are evolving.

Europe is the continent with the most billionaires spread their countries, taking almost all of Western Europe to a billionaire. The continent’s richest man Amancio Ortega remains.

On geographical distribution, it should be noted several things. Investments in real estate assets in natural resources or in various financial assets play another very important role. Technology gives money, however, but does not produce as many billionaires as expected, except for the world’s richest man, Bill Gates, and South Korea, president of the giant Samsung.
